The Kargo Group
The Kargo Group of Companies was established in 1982 and specializes in Express Road Freight Distribution. The group consists of 3 companies all of which enable Kargo provide our Customers with the service they require.
The Kargo footprint extends both throughout South Africa and Cross Border with the Head Office in Johannesburg and branch locations in Durban, Cape Town, George, East London, Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Limpopo, Nelspruit and Botswana.

Bragging Rights
The fleet consists of 471 vehicles, directly under the control of Kargo, carries out 95% of the company’s distribution. The remaining 5% is to smaller towns in country areas where it is more cost effective to use sub-contractors. Our aim is to eliminate the use of sub-contractors and achieve 100% distribution solely by the Kargo Group.
The Kargo Group remains one of the few privately owned Companies where Directors and Management all take a hands-on approach in the driving of the company.
Kargo Infrastructure
All depots are fully fledged operational units manned by competent staff. Each depot has an administrative component of its own. These branches can answer customer queries with ease providing POD’s, rates and other information which is vital to the operation of our customer’s business.

Kargo National Fleet
Kargo operates vehicles ranging from a load capacity of 1 ton to 32 tons. These vehicles are fitted with a combination of curtain side and closed van load bodies. The versatility of the fleet provides both security and easy access loading nationally. All line haul vehicles are equipped with satellite tracking and cellular phone communication. The locally operated fleet, wherever necessary, is fitted with satellite tracking. As a further security measure, the fleet is clearly marked.
